Ab Aajao Vaapas Dada

Janam ashtami. It is the day celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna. He is known to be the 8th incarnation of Vishnu. He was born in times when cruelty was at its worst, women did not have the right to a dignified life and even his own enlightened Uncle Kans tried to kill him for more power. Krishna initiated Mahabharatha- one of the greatest massacres on Earth. He was called ‘Maakhan Chor’ for stealing butter and yogurt through creative ways. A lot of people during his lifetime had experienced him as The Lord of all creation. He Himself knew that He was God. All this could have gained Him respect for we are taught today that Gods should be feared. but why was it that He was loved and revered more than any other king or human being during His physical lifetime? It was for what He did as a human being and not because He held the position of God. If you look at the whole picture His purpose was to manifest Mahabhartha. He was a great leader and that too a wise one. He led The Kaurawas and The Pandawas to war and never misguided any of them. He performed His kartavya(duty). He freed several women from the bondages of human slavery and was man enough to accept all of them in His life when others were hesitant to take them back. Most importantly He was their own, not someone living up above but the one who lived among them, with them. He was the Lord of the universe, the maker of rules but when He took a human birth, He made sure that He too was bound by all the human rules and died because of a spell enchanted by the mother of Kaurawas. In a world created by Him where He could have been anything, He chose to be loving and compassionate. He was loving and full of life and at the same time He was a social reformer and a compassionate God. He being the source of all knowledge could have made everyone sit down and jot down notes, He chose to be a leader who lead by example, He showed them how it’s done. It is to that for which we bow down to Him and pay our obeisance. It really doesn’t matter what position you hold or how many number of badges you hang on your chest. The divine will smile when you make Him proud by touching hearts and infusing Love in their lives. Strive to fulfill and complete your duties towards other. Let this be a day when we connect to our inner Dadashreeji and ask for such qualities.

At Your Lotus Feet,

Mitra Shivam.

Are You with me?

Editor’s Note: We all look for big miracles in our lives, we hope that all our problems will get solved, we will become worry-free and everything in our lives will run smoothly the moment we say the prayer. We hope for visions, ‘out of body’ experiences as a validation of our spiritual growth and bond with the Divine.

As Dadashreeji has mentioned countless times, bonding with Divinity is important. It does NOT mean one has to have visions etc as validation. Miracles have their own way – it can occur while just feeling grateful or through the answer of a simple prayer.
It’s the miracles of everyday life that truly embody His words –

‘Make me your friend. I will walk you every moment to listen, guide and support you.’
– Dadashreeji.

A Mitr’s experience illustrates how He takes care of every little thing in our lives..

Had quite an amazing experience today. Rain has been crazy and I was at a friend’s place near Navy Nagar. No Uber cabs were available so after waiting at his place for a while and the rain remaining heavy, I just decided to go down and find an ordinary cab. My friend told me not to bother as you don’t find cabs in that area and it was pretty late at night and specially not in crazy rain. I However decided to go with the thought that Dada is with me and would help me through this.

As soon as I went down in the crazy rains, a cab showed up opposite the road, went 50m ahead and took a u-turn and came and stopped right next to me. Someone got out and I hopped into the cab.

The cab had to drop me off 5mins before my house as the entire main road was flooded so he did not want to drive there fearing his cab will stall in the rain.

So I said damn! And got off. I had a good five mins walk to my house through all the inner lanes and alleys avoiding the main roads which were flooded.

I told Dada, “show me you are with me” and I continued walking quickly avoiding puddles. I reached home safe and looked out of my window and it was pouring like crazy.

Little did I realise that from the minute I stepped out of the cab and till I reached home, it had stopped raining suddenly. I was busy avoiding the puddles and finding the road ahead. Dada stopped the rain for me. Once I was at home and watching the rain, my inner voice told me, “well buddy, you asked if I was with you.  Here’s your answer.”

The Path..

I had a wonderful opportunity of attending the Spiritual Week in the ashram starting with the Gurupurnima on 16th July in Mumbai. I got to see Dadashreeji on many occasions as I was at the ashram offering my seva till I attended Bodh III.
Now that I was back home, I was missing Dadashreeji a lot. I longed to see Him again. And so the Ocean of Grace blessed me with His dream.
I dreamt that I was in the ashram and I saw Dadashreeji was playing with small children. He was enjoying Himself a lot.
I suddenly saw a gurudwara behind me. I turned to Dada and told Him in all my wonderment,”Dadashreeji see there is a gurudwara also here.”
Dadashreeji very sweetly said,”yes there is a gurudwara here.”
Then I said to Him again,”Dadashreeji, the gurudwara is there but I can’t see the path or the way to the gurudwara.”
Then Dadashreeji took me aside and pointed out with His fingers to a path that led straight to the temple. He started walking with me and took me to the door of the temple.
I walked inside the temple and sat there. Dadashreeji went back to playing with the children.
And I suddenly woke up. It was 5am.. That day I had Bodh I at my place. The whole day I was very energetic and felt Dadashreeji’s presence so strongly at home.
I realise now that in my dream Dadashreeji was making me understand that people know that Gurudwara exists but don’t know how to go there. Dadashreeji is here to show you that forgotten path. He would take you there as a friend. He even walked with me till I had safely entered the temple. In the vision, He was joyfully playing with children as their friend, although He is the great One who knows the path for salvation and Divine abode.
He is here to take us all back to our real Home and the best part is that He is walking with us.
Love you Dadashreeji.
Be in my life always.
Be with me always.
In gratitude

My Best Friend

I was sent abroad for an official assignment for a period of 2 months. It was my first trip alone away from home, in a new country. My serviced apartment was a 10 minute walk from the office.

One day late evening, I left alone from office as I to complete some urgent work. It was very dark and deserted. Suddenly a very hefty lady appeared from nowhere and very sternly and loudly, asked me for my valuables. I could feel that she was not a needy person so I told her that I didn’t have any. I moved ahead but sensed that something was wrong. I turned around and walked towards my office. She started following and threatened me. I got scared and started walking very fast. She disappeared as suddenly as she had appeared. I waited at the end of the road for 15 minutes to check for her whereabouts. I had seen her cross the road – but I could not see her anymore. With ease, I started towards my service apartment.

I don’t remember what happened exactly but in the next few seconds the lady showed up again and tried to snatch my bag. I was petrified. I did not know what to do. I don’t know from where I gathered courage and somehow managed to pull my bag from her. I held on to it very strongly and ran towards the office breathlessly. My hands and legs were shivering. My heart was beating very fast. My mouth could not utter a word. The eyes were watery. I shook in fear.

When I caught my breath, I called a colleague from my mobile phone and requested him to drop me to my service apartment. A fear of the unknown had enveloped me while entering that huge apartment as I was staying alone. As soon as I reached the dining room, I sat in front of Dadashreeji’s Shrimurti and burst into tears. The only emotion I could feel was fear. I kept talking to Dada throughout the night. I prayed to Him – not to remove the fear, but just to be with me. I could not share this incident with my family in India, as they would have also have gotten worried. I sat in front of Dada all night long, simply murmuring – “Dada please be with me, Dada please be with me.”

The next morning, I somehow went through the day at work trying to divert my mind. People came to me and asked about the mishap. I could not even narrate the incident coherently as I was still in a state of shock.

Somehow I managed to get through the day but was not feeling normal. That evening when I reached the apartment, my maid told me, “I have not cleaned your room as your best friend had come so I did not disturb him.” I was surprised. My friend? She then told me looking at Dadashreeji’s Shrimurti – “YOUR BEST FRIEND” and simply smiled.

I remembered that the very first day in the apartment, looking at Dadashreeji’s Shrimurti on the dining table, my maid had asked me who He was. I had paused wondering how to explain that Dadashreeji is a Living Guide or a Master. Would she understand? I simply told her that He is my Best friend, my Guide and helps me all the time.

Back to the moment – I was speechless. The maid narrated that that when she entered my room, she saw Dada sitting on the sofa waiting for my arrival. He had greeted her and consequently she did not clean the room because she had not wanted to disturb Him.

She had actually seen ‘Astral Dadashreeji’ who was there to guide and protect me. He had heard the cry for help from my heart. She was not even aware of what a wonderful experience had occurred. For me, the presence of Dada in my home was unbelievable. He had heard my prayers and was with me through all the pain. He even proved His presence to me through a complete stranger. This “Darshan” became my strength and blessed me with positivity for the journey ahead. I cried profusely in front of Him for such a manifestation of His Divine Love had given me the complete assurance that He is with me at every step of my life. I thank Dadashreeji for making me go through the adverse experience – as I realised how strong I truly am. I also understood how blessed we are. Dada takes care of each of us every second. In our own learning of pain and sorrow, we feel that He is not with us whereas He is with us even more strongly during the stressful times in our lives. It is we, who do not see His shield of Love. He watches us, guides us, nurtures us and cares for us all in ways possible which we cannot even begin to comprehend. Our Father loves us all – unconditionally.

Heartfelt Gratitude to Dada.
Always at your lotus feet.
Dada Sharanam
